Default Need help with flash fxp(Could someone please help me out if u can)

Does anyone ever have a problem with flash fxp when ur downloading from an ftp when ur walk away from ur computer ur tranfer from the ftp u were downloading slows down until u do some activity on ur computer again then the speeds speed up (I am usuing Xp Pro)

I don't know what would cause that either.

how much speed difference are you talking about?


you might have some background prgrm running that starts to use more bandwidth when your puter is idle...like p2p prgrms do that..
or if you have a screensaver enabled it might be so cpu intensive that doesn't give enough cpu time for ffxp to d/l full speed.

I like can be downloading at 60 kb/sec then when i come back like 20 minutes or so it is doing like 5 kb/sec then if i start doing stuff on my computer it goes back up

MxxCon makes a very good point. What if you leave FlashFXP open and the active window when you walk away?

I've experienced a simular problem... how ever it happened with all software which gets things from the internet.... not just FFXP.

I worked out the problem was something to do with my ISP and the solution was to have 2 threads of anything running at once.. that fixed it for me.

So basically have FFXP open and something else downloading, or just 2 instances of FFXP (Transfering though, NOT idle)
