Unhappy My FlashFXP has issues !!!

Downloaded the FlashFXP, and have hopefully got it configured ok, but it doesn't seem to want to work...
All it seems to say is that it can connect to my Proxy Server (needed as i'm using it from a LAN), but on every link i've tried - even the tutorial - the connection failed due to connection loss...

It does work for a mate on the same LAN, so it's something wrong with my setup...

Any help would be very grateful !

Cheers.

Downloaded the copy from the official web site ?

What are you trying to actually do ? Connect to a site, download locally, upload locally, fxp to/from, etc ?

Are you connected directly to the internet or sharing in someway ?

What OS ?

Do you have a firewall install ? any other software which matters ? Running ICS ?

We need a little detail to figure out whats going on

Okey dokey.

Sorry for not being too computer literate.

I have a firewall, as it's a University server, and so i use a Socks Proxy to access the internet.
I downloaded FXP Flash to download films/ games from various forums, and followed the intsructions to install but they seemed to not cover everything, as the guidelines didn't allow me FXP to connect to the internet.
General connection works fine - it seems to just have issues through this program.

I have an HTTP:Tunnel which allows me to access AudioGalaxy (a restricted site) and that works well.

I'm sure it's probably a small adjustment i need to make to the settings to let it work properly, but i'm not sure where to start.

Thanks again for the interest in wanting to help.
