Angry Uploading through router

I use FlashFXP v. 1.4.2 (build 831) and am on a LAN via a Linksys BEFSR41 Cable/DSL Router w/ 4 port switch. I usually create large files (mpg's) and throw them into a rar archive and upload them to my friend's/family members PC's. Now here's the problem, it will upload all but lets say 1 out of a 10 file archive. I can skip it and retry but it wont send. I started to monitor it while it was uploading and it would always stop after a certain size of data was up'd and then it would hang then finally time out. It would reconnect and try to resend but at the same exact file size it would hang then time out again. I disconnected the router and tried uploading the file while having my NIC connected directly to the modem and voila! it works. But i don't want to have to keep disconnecting my router just to send certain files. Does anyone else experience this and/or is there a fix to this?! Any help is appreciated..

I have the same router and it works fine, exactly how big are these files? Rather than starting over you should be able to resume the files.

In the router config there are options to set a idle timeout, make sure this is set to 0

Each file is 15MB, and it's not that my connection disconnects, its my connection to the FTP that times out.

here's a section of the log where it times out:

Skipping: C:\***\file.r35
TYPE I
200 Type set to I.
PASV
227 Entering Passive Mode (213,113,166,51,138,111)
STOR file.r36
150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for file.r36.
421 Timeout (65 seconds): closing control connection.

it looks like maybe problem with the ftp server, the timeout value is too low or perhaps the upload stalled?

I'm guessing it's a linksys problem, because this "stall" (i think it's a stall also) comes at the same filesize (The file stall's right after it hits 6.5MB, it restarts and when it reaches 6.5MB again it stalls). But when I unplug the router and have modem to NIC directly the problem vanishes. *shrugs* I'm very confused, waiting for a reply from Linksys.

Just got a reply in the Inbox and was told to chage around the MTU settings and voila, it worked! so if anyone is having the problem I am having, try changing the MTU. The person referred these settings for MTU, 1392 (which i am using), 1400, 1450 and 1492
