Default FlashFXP and unix symbolic links

I'm trying to download the log file below:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 38 Aug 16 1999 access-log -> /www/logs/domain-access-log

but I get the error :

CWD /home/domain/access-log/
550 /home/domain/access-log/: Not a directory.
Transfer queue completed

Any suggestions?

FlashFXP does not validate symbolic links and sometimes this can cause problems, as you have pointed out.

The solution is to use manual get, which is located on the tools menu, just enter the filename "access-log" and FlashFXP will download the file.

The problem to my mind is that a symbolic link can either be a directory or a file...

what about making flashfxp try a CWD and then if it fails a GET ?

This is just a suggestion of course

I wish it were that simple, but it's not. I have added this to my to-do list. I'm not sure if your method can be used to validate the symbolic links due to the current design, but it will be considered.
