Default fxping problems with router

heya
i just got myself a SOHO 10/100mbit DSL/Broadband hardware router a few days ago and everything works fine, except fxp transfers

i tried various sites from which i know that they support fxp transfers, and i also tried fxping using wingates and proxies nothing works, i only get an error saying:
425 Can't open data connection

any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated
thx in advance

greets

Many routers are not compatible with FXP.
Sounds like yours is one of them.

hm well but the strange thing is, a friend setup an ftp server and i could actually fxp to him

he didn't use any special settings as for port ranges so i really don't know whats going on, fxping to him works but i couldn't get any other transfers to work yet

Was his ftp server setup on port 21? I believe only port 21 fxp transfers are effected.
