Default problem with IDENT

Hi,
when i try to log into a site , sometimes it'll just try to connect, and then give me an error connecting. Other times, it'll say Ident response (ip address), and then connect to the site perfectly fine. How come this is happening? My ident is currently enabled on Port 113, UNIX. But it seems as if the Ident is not being read sometimes by the sites or is not working in FlashFXP. or am i wrong, and is something else the cause of the problem here? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

upgrade to flashfxp 3.0, i belive there were some fixes/changes regarding ident.
do you have any other application running that also handle ident? irc client is a common culprit of such problems. make sure that both, flashfxp and your irc client is configured to handle ident only during connection(not all the time).

it used to work fine with my cable modem, since I switched to dial-up ident isn't working, I tried identd too and not working. Irc isn't the problem. it worked 2 times since, nothing.

One way that i find rather smooth is do disable all ident in irc programs and in flashfxp. Then instead run an ident server that takes care of the requests.
Go here: http://www.tinyirc.net/downloads.shtml
and look for Tiny Ident 2.2. Been using this for moren then a year now and no problems at all.
