Default Connecting from behind a proxy - problems!

Hey.

I'm behind a Winproxy. I get the following:

220 WinProxy (Version 2.1R1d) ready.
USER username@196.25.102.10 21
500 'USER': command requires a parameter.
Connection failed

It's set to user with no login and passive mode. Anything I'm missing?

Thanx

You may need the user with no login with : rather then a space.

Atlest that's what WinProxy v1.4 uses.

Newer FlashFXP proxy settings are named differently so i suspect you're using an older version? In the newer one it would be type #11

Hey.

Thanx for the reply. I'm using 1.4 build 800. I went into options/preferences and set my proxy settings to user with no logon with the ':'. I got further, but now it gives me a "data socket error connection failed [connection refused]".

Any idea?

thanx :-)

Perhaps the ftp server is behind a firewall and isn't capable of accepting a passive mode connection?

Hi.

I was able to connect with WS_FTP yesterday. I'd much rather use FlashFXP though. WS was set to passive too, but it seems to run through a series of port numbers before actually connecting. I don't really know FTP tech that well.

Thanx
