Default Is there a way to make a make a file on a ftp server

I know there is a way to make a folder on a ftp server using flashfxp, however i need to make a file on my ftp server and can not figure out how to do it using raw commands.

umm, just make the file, then upload it. even if you could make a file ON the ftp server, it would be empty, and you would have to edit it, thus transferring it back to your computer, and reuploading it. If you need to "work" on the server, use ssh.

I can not make the file a head of time because my program looks at the time stamp of the file that i upload to this ftp server. I would have to write a script to make that file, and overwrite my previous file and hope that flashfxp would still upload that file if i schedule it ahead of time.

If i can not make this file, then i would have to come in at mid-night to manually make that file and then upload it.
