Default What is the difference between normal and alternate fxp modes?

I'm trying to troubleshoot a computer on my lan to which I can apparently only fxp in alternate mode. I duplicated all the settings from my main computer (which has no problems), set the necessary options in the router, made it DMZ, etc.

Maybe this will bring me some insight on the nature of this puzzling problem.

Thanks for your time

if you take a look at your connection log, you'll see
during regular FXP
FlashFXP send PASV to site 1 and PORT to site 2
during alternative FXP
FlashFXP send PORT to site 1 and PASV to site 2

this is usefull becuase either of sites are misconfigured/behind firewall/block FXP and can not accept PASV connections/PORT with different IP..
