Question ascii files with no extension

Hi, I'm trying to transfer some ascii files, but they do not have an extension, e.g. a file could be called 'stuff' with no . extension - how do I transfer it in ascii mode?

Cheers

Ed

P.s. is there a way to set on a file by file basis, whether it should be ascii or binary?

Default

To transfer all files in ASCII mode
From the menu, FTP | Transfer Mode | ASCII

Or you could add the filenames to your ascii list
From the menu, Options | Filters | ASCII
If the file is named "stuff" simply add "stuff" to the list.

Default One last thing

Thanks very much - that worked like a treat - I don't suppose there's a way of having a default that all files with no extension will be transferred as ascii? (maybe possiblity for next version?)

Cheers again
