Default error 141?

When I click on help and select "check for new version"..i get an "update faled" message and an error code 141.

What could be causing this. If you look back, im the one with the connection time out problem on version 2.0 build 901. The ftp site im trying to connect to is giving me constant connection timeouts.
I have verified that the site is up. Could the cause of this be linked to the error im getting when trying to auto upgrade?

Are you using a software firewall? If you are that might be why.

Otherwise there's something wrong with your FlashFXP install. You should never get this error, this error really doesn't make much sense for what you did

141 = The system tried to SUBST a drive to a directory on a joined drive.

Default OK now what?

So do you suggest that I do a complete uninstall and just reinstall with the latest version (build 906 i believe)? I uninstalled ZoneAlarm a while ago. That was the only firewall software i had installed in the past, but it is gone now so it couldnt be that. Unless a permanent alteration was made in the registry. If so, do you know where in the registry the problem would reside?

Let me know if you have an idea on how i should proceed to fix this?

Thanks

Unless spybot has built in firewall protection. I do have that installed. I also have ad-aware installed, but I dont think they could be causing any problems. If such a problem did occur from a software firewall, then why can I share files p2p with Kazaa?

You can install a new build over the old, you don't need to uninstall first. I don't know anything about spybot, i'm not sure what it does. FlashFXP only makes a few minor registry changes, basically just file associations for the queue file.

If you got Windows XP, might disable its firewall. I found it was
causing me alot of problems, trying to connect with someone or vise versa. I use a diferent firewall instead of the xp one.

Just a thought.
