Problem open dir's

Does Anyone know how to open directories that look like this:

tp://dir1/dir2/dir3.dir/dir4

because i always get the error.msg 'incorrect function'
when i try to open them with ffxp
???????

What deamon (ftp server brand) is the ftp server which is giving you problems. Is it only one or all ?, etc.

once again,
"incorrect function" is an error msg from IIS server when you try to change dir that uses device name.

if dirs are named exactly "dir1/dir2/dir3.dir/dir4" you will have absolutely no problem changing into them.
