Question File Size Bug - Possible

Hi,

I have found what I think is an error within FlashFXP but I want to make it clear this is for information only. I am not doing this cause I have a problem with FlashFXP but more just for my own reasons.

I have a Unix box which has the ftp daemon running on it and whenever I access a drive that contains huge files I get filesize errors. It appears to be a bug seeing that if I ftp through DOS is works fine and also via the unix file system.

I have attached an image of what I get when I list a file which is actually 8gb in size. Also notice what appears in the task/site info line. The full size of the disk is 9gb.

Any ideas ???

Which version of FlashFXP are you using?

Support was added to handle file sizes up to several terabytes back in build 831.

I am actually using the latest retail version, v1.4.3

I could try it again with one of the beta versions if you like?

hmm well maybe the problem is the ftp server.

Lets try something. From the Directory menu, select View Raw Directory and then post me the content.

It seems there was a problem after all.. Stupid Borland Delphi. It didn't correctly update a property that I had changed. I had to rebuild the component package to solve the problem.

Thumbs up

Gee I am glad it wasn't my unix box after all. Thanks for confirming that there was actually a problem/issue.

Will a new version be released shortly ?
