Anonymous error,always on?
Having some problems logging onto some sites that require and user/password. The problem is it seems to still be logging on as Anonymous even after entering the right user/pass. I'm using 1.4 build 800 on WinXP. Anyone else get this happening? I notice it more often when I have 3 or 4 sessions going on.

Never in my time with FFXP have I noticed anything like that. Might be an XP quirk as it doesn't happen on the other MS flavors, as far as I can tell.

d'oh.. User-errors gets me every time. I always assume they've checked the obvious stuff before posting.

Yeah ANONYMOUS was uncheck,I'm not that dumb
I think it the server's bag. They'er server taken from a list, and they could have changed the use/passwords. It just seems strange that I get a no"ANONYMOUS" use error. I don't know,it doesn't happen too much. BTW I thought I read something here on this site that said you could only have 2 sessions going at once. I must have misread that because I've done about 10 at once. Watching my bandwidth ofcourse.

I've seen nothing with regards to the limit of sessions, short of hardware and/or bandwidth limitations, ofcourse.

Perhaps you both should post a bit more of the surrounding settings, so bigstar&co can have something more to work with. Logs, anything.

If you are connecting via Quick Connect I know what you are referring to and it's because you are mixing urls with seperate info.
you can't have
ftp://host or host:port
and then fill in the seperate fields.
The next release will automatically parse urls into the seperate fields. Which reminds me I suppose I can do that today.

I don't know anymore how to explain it. Here one thing I do know.
It's always when I do a quick connect, and when I paste the info into the address and the manually enter the user and password.
hmm let me find one here for an example for you... here's one...
64.225.58.209 /private L:memorex P:memorex Port:21
gives me an anonymous error. And now it seems to be happening all the time.
Here's another ? Is there any way to see the history of what connects I,ve DL from and what I've DL'ed? I had the autoque. at startup disabled because it was buggy with XP too. It would hang looking for the que. and I'd have to alt-tab throught the sessions because the que. window gets stuck behind the new session. Even without the que.'s it there a way to see where I've been? & what I dl'ed from where and what dir.?

If you entered "64.225.58.209 /private L:memorex P:memorex Port:21" in the server or url field it will login anonymous by design. you must seperate the values.
You can enable disk based logging, everything you see in the status window will be recorded to a log file, this option is located in the Preferences / General tab.
Which build did you have problems with in WinXP? The the last two beta's appear to work real well. All errors and lockups appear to be resolved.

Xp 2600
no I entered them like this,
64.225.58.209 /private in address
memorex in user
memorex in pass
It's not user error believe me I've check that :P
Like I say it's no big deal, but I see how if it's a bug it might interest you. I can deal with it, I thought maybe it was somthing more commen. If not well maybe I should reinstall or try another program to enter password sites.I really not loseing any sleep over, I like this program and I'm only trying it out for now. I prob.
don't belong on too many password sites anyway, they just happen to land on my list,(making cut and paste a *****) another XP problem(cut and paste with Ctrl-c,Ctrl-p buggy in XP) . I thank you for your help but there's no need to go out of your way. Not for me anyway :P

That will cause problems too..
The host field is intended for the host only.
By also entering the path FlashFXP fails to detect this as a host and attempts to convert it from a ftp:// url, in doing so you loose the l / p you entered seperately
