Have you tried it with other FTP servers? I have never heard of "visnetic". I'm pretty sure it does work...have you asked the developers of visnetic about it?

Visnetic was bought by Deerfield (www.deerfield.com) a while back - it's not a bad Windows ftp server.

No I haven't tried another as it's the only secure ftp server I know of. If anyone can help out with a test of another secure ftp server, please let me know the details.

I can't see why it would be my ftp server as the log clearly shows that FlashFXP does not even bother to resume, it just does "RETR w2ksp4_en.exe" with no start point.

well, i can confirm that resuming does work on both ioftpd and glftpd...it has to be a setting with your server.

Ok, it's not my server, but it's something strange with FlashFXP.

On one client I had the server in my Site Manager and it works just fine. The other client I'm having problems with I was just using the Quick Connect and the URL history - this one for some reason does not send the RETR 0 and RETR 100 commands at the start of the session.

There's no option that I can see for Quick Connect to specify use resume, so perhaps it's a bug with SSL/TLS when using Quick Connect.

At least I can get around it now

Another thing just happened.

I'd forgotten to save the password to the ftp server so when I left alone it bombed out and sat there asking for a password. So I entered it and lo-and-behold it resumed.

However, I amended the password in Site Manager whilst it was downloading, assuming that it would not take effect until I reconnected properly, and again it failed and was waiting on a password.

This time I came out of FlashFXP, went back in and reloaded the queue. it automatically logged in but didn't resume again
