Default 331 / 530

I get this when I try and connect to an FTP site that I've already accessed on the same settings:

Connecting to xxxxxxxxxxxx
Connected to xxxxxxxxxxxx.dns2go.com Port xxxx
220 Thanks for entering xxxxxxxxxxxx FTP.
USER xxxxxxxxxxxx
331 User name okay, need password.
PASS (hidden)
530 Not logged in.
Connection failed

First time it 530s and says "Pass (Hidden)" (Why?) and on subsequent times it just fails - why is this?

I've seen other posts on 530s which say that the login or password must be wrong, but this has worked before on the same settings, so it can't be that. Any suggestions would be well helpful - perhaps automatically executing / sending password on connection? It seems to connect OK, and then fail fractionally afterwards...?

Cheers,
S

it doesn't send "(hidden)" as your password. it sends whatever you type in password textbox.
could be that this site is configured to ban ip after one uncessfull login attempt.
make sure that your account is still active and wasn't disabled/deleted.

The site could be busy, as I have known some daemons to issue a 530 when the site is full.
