Default disappear of Flash FXP icon when minimized

well, as the topic suggests sometimes when I minimize Flash FXP it's icon misteriously disappears from the system tray.

i can't open it again and have to close it from Windows Task Manager. this is quite annoying if i run more then one window minimized as i have to close them all and not always save the queue list

i am running version 2.0 RC2 build 862 on Win XP pro. is this bug completely fixed with RC3? as i didnt see anything concerning that one in the anouncements part of RC3.

thanks

He is talking about the clock on the task bar/bottom bar in Windows. Then right click on it -> Customize Notifications ... -> and change FlashFXP to 'Always show'.

Also I would recommend updating to the latest build of FlashFXP..

Let us know how it goes.

I believe there was a fix for that in RC3.

Thats a bug in WinXP, not in FFXP. It likes to hide my mIRC too - when you open the tray (using the <<), it's missing and can't be restored. This still happens with FFXP Build 880 so it's very likely a WinXP problem.

I too have used winxp and found out real fast to uncheck the hide the icon button., I lost a few, but never the fxp icon. Probably the reason was I used ftp and never left it inactive, long enough for it to be hidden. I lost a few inactive icons real fast.
Might suggest to right click on the taskbar and go to properities
go to taskbar and uncheck the hide icon button, I found if you leave it checked you will lose icons that are not active. This was the best measure I found to keep from losing icons.

just my two cents
