Empty username does not work

If the user name field is empty and the Anonymous mark is
not checked an anonymous username is sent and the password
is the email address stored in flashFXP

are you talking about site manager or quick connect?
if quick connect, that's how it supposed to work

I tried on both site manager and quick connect.
Is there a way to connect without a blank user name and
no password ?

It's not possible to connect to a ftp server without a valid user name, If you leave the username field blank during connection attempt a prompt is given with "anonymous" as default, if you don't change it "anonymous" will be sent.
