uninstall only, will not install new version

well, here we go again. dl latest final of 3.4 ran the installer, only option was to remove or add stuff, no option to update(why is this?). it uninstalled the older version, then it stopped, then the setup program removed itself after it ran, so i had to go get the dang thing again, and now do a fresh install. Lost my preferences, for me this has been a mess

if you were running a beta/RC version of 3.4, you CAN'T run the setup.exe file from within your FlashFXP install directory. This used to be the default download location for liveupdate, but has been fixed in the latest version. I'm sorry for the trouble you had...wish you had posted sooner.
