Default After uploading large file, automatically uploads again

I uploaded a large .RAR archive file, it was about 220 MB. When it was done, it kind of sat in the queue with nothing happening, almost like it was frozen, then a dialogue popped up asking to overwrite / etc.. (the normal dialogue when you try and upload a file that is already existing in that directory on the server).

Not sure if this is a specific problem with the .rar extension or large files in general. I've tested it serveral times, along with a 500 MB file, and when done it tries to upload the file again.

Version: 3.3.4 (build 1106) BETA

I tested this too and i didn't notice any problems. It also sounds more like a server problem than a FlashFXP issue.

It was on 2 different servers, my own then a friend's... two complete different configurations.

Could this be a setting somewhere in the program?

Here, this happened again, using: 3.3.5 (build 1110).

I finished uploading the file (194 MB), in full, and then I got a dialog to reupload, I pressed cancel, and here's the log straight after. (Note: I deleted a file first, then I began uploading "familyguy.zip"). It appears to finish fine, disconnect immediately, then ask to reupload it seems? I don't believe this is a problem with the FTP server as it has occured on many other sites.

Log:
FlashFXP v3.3.5 build 1110 [BETA RELEASE]

Under these conditions this is the expected behavior.

Normally when a a file is uploaded you don't loose connection like seen in your status log, due to this loss of connection FlashFXP doesn't get the transfer complete status message. Without it there is no way to know 100% for sure if the transfer was actually complete. Just because all of the data was sent doesn't mean that the ftp server received it. That being said, on reconnect it attempts to finish the file.

What you could do is configure FlashFXP (Options / File Exist Rules) to skip files of equal size.

Skip files of equal size, yes I think I will do that. I just find it strange that it disconnects constantly and then asks to reupload when it's already fully uploaded, oh well I'm not too sure how it all works, I'll try what you suggested, thanks.

Maybe it's a good idea in your case to send NOOPS while transfering, this might prevent you from getting disconnected,

I have it enabled, but doesn't look like they were sending while something is transfering, only when idle.

Options>Preferences>Connection (Anti-Idle), I am sending NOOP every 60 seconds, how do I enable it during transfer?

Thanks

That's a different NOOP . You should go into the sitemanager (F4) and go to the options there and check the box "Send noops during transfer".

Thanks, so many options I've never really looked at them all.

Another silly question (sorry), "Send noop during transfer" has a green square next to it, clicking again it's a green check, and checking again it's blank.

What are all those statuses for? I would assume check is enabled, blank is disabled, but what is the green square for? That's really confusing...

The green square means it will use the option specified in the general options.
