very frustrated with connecting

I have down loaded flashfxp from the internet for a free trial and I have wnixp on my computer. I have a cros over cable that I have tried and also ran router too, but when I turn on my xbox it does not connect to my computer. I did have norton anti virus but I took it off and I was running windows fire wall and took that off and nothing works. My internet connection is road runner which is cable. Can any one help? I'm tring to make back ups to my game on my x-box.

I want to back up my xbox games on my computer. I down loaded flashfxp for free trial and Ihave winxp. I'm using a router it said that it was compitable with Xbox and I also have tried a cross over cable too. I uninstalled Norton virus and shut dowm xp firewall, and spyware. When I turn on my xbox and go to my computer and open up fxp there is no connection for xbox or can't find it. I'm using road runner connect which cable. when I run my bios on my xbox a folder shows up on my computer evolution x please help. Does this mean my xbox is connect to my computer?
