Issues with ftp
Ok - I am new to ftp so for my first post I am after some little assistance.
I am running latest flashfxp build 1045, and its a registered version
Now on one pc - works no problem, but on my main pc that I want to use flashfxp on - I have an issue it giving a directory list.
Its the same settings as my working laptop, but with this main pc - I run Norton firewall 2003 and also addware. Even with these disabled - I have same issue.- no directory listing - connection terminated
I run behind a firewall but other pc's have no issue as ports are all enabled. My router ip is 192.168.0.1 - so my main pc is setup as the 192.168.0.2
Now this main pc had malware on it and I think some of the ftp functions have been disabled or removed.
How can I revert it back to std (Windows xp pro service pack 2).
Is there a list of things (registry) that is available for me to check and ensure they are correctly setup
I am just about bold - after all my hair pulling.
My log connecting to my work ftp site is as follows (note some parts edited as is a secure site)
WinSock 2.0 -- OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004

all ports enabled? that doesn't make sence.
have you tried enabling PASV mode?
consider trying this soft http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...k-XP-Fix.shtml
if none of that help, post status log from your working computer

OK - ran winsock repair and still no joy.
Tried Passive mode -but it say does not except it for the server (I new that from my Laptop connection and how its setup)
Now I also checked my network places advanced properties tab to see if I can configure the ports and I am confronted with a message saying
Windows cannot display the properties of this connection. The Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) info might be corrupted... use system restore...blah blah
Not only that but I don't use the WIN XP firewall (maybe I should invoke it)
ok here is a log of the working Laptop.

Good log (laptop) has 226 in last few lines and the not working main pc version has 426 - (only thing I noticed)
Let me know if I have supplied enough info or you need me to try something different.
I am tending to think a port issue????

Add your FlashFXP id in your profile
For priority support you should add your FlashFXP id in your user profile. That way you don't have to say the program is registered. It will show beneath your nick on every post you make.
