Default Noob question

Right from the start, I should make it clear that I am an idiot.
Now I have that out of the way, I have a very basic q please
I am trying to connect to my site to upload some changes, first time I have done this , it's a new site and I'm totally new to all this.
I can't connect with flashfxp, it keeps timing out.
I am sure I have configured the site details correctly in flashfxp, except it lists Port 21, and I have no idea what this means
Any advice really appreciated

Cheers

Check this post. Port 21 is the default port that most FTP servers have configured to allow FTP connections.
