Schedule Task Questions

I am trying to set up a scheduled task that will grab the files we generated that morning and send them to another site. The report scheduler we are using appends the current date to the end of the file name, so it will be a slightly different file name every day. I couldn't find any helpful information on what rules would need to be set up to make that possible. How would I go about doing that?
