Default Need help connecting to Amazon EC2 using SFTP over SSH

I am using the current version of FlashFXP and I've seen that others in the past have "Loaded" the AWS .pem in PuTTYGen, then clicked "Save Public Key" and "Save Private Key". I am assuming that is the correct process so far.

After having done that, I have attempted to import in FlashFXP's Key Manager as RSA/DSA/etc. However, when I click "Save", I get a "Invalid Private Key" message.

Any ideas?

When you create your EC2 instance you have an option to create a new key pair.

Create a new key pair and download the key.

You can then import the private key directly into FlashFXP. You do not need PuTTYGen..

(You will only enter the private key, leave the public key field blank)

On the Site Manager make sure you enter the username as "ec2-user" or whatever the distro you installed uses as the default username.

I included some screenshots below

I still had an issue doing what you had mentioned. Then I changed something..

Originally, my .pem file was stored on a network drive. I copied it to a local drive and then everything worked fine.

I didn't know that was a requirement. Something interesting to keep in mind.
