Default blocked port

Hi,

Im trying to connect to an ftp server that works on port 2760.
it worked about 3 months ago, now after a fresh install of windows 7 i cant connect.
i did a telnet to the server and the port is blocked.

i did inbound and outbound rule to allow the port in windows firewall. i turned off the firewall and anti virus (even though the version i use does not include a firewall) with no luck.
i tried to open the port in router and dmz to the computer ip address (tried to do it again after a reset to the router) also with no luck.
i called my isp and they insured me that they dont block this port (after i made them check with a system manager).

i know that this is not something in the software it self, but if anyone has anya idea what else can i try.

Are you running this ftp server that works on port 2760 or are you connecting to a remote server that uses that port?

Putting your computer in dmz and opening ports on your firewall will not make any difference here.
You'd need to contact this server's administrator to confirm that you have correct information, that the server is properly configured and that you are not being blocked by the server itself.

If you can't even use telnet to connect to it, that means it's nothing to do with your local system and the issue is probably on the server.

hi again,
thnx for the help.

i had a backup file of the site before the address was changed (long time ago)
when i loaded the file i realized that even though we went through the details countless times, he gave me the wrong port.
