Default 425 Could not open data connection to port 5001: Connection timed out

I used to be able to FXP from ftp to ftp using this pc untill a week ago when i reinstalled windows xp sp2.
Now i cant fxp at all ie

[L] MODE S
[L] 200 MODE S ok.
[L] PASV
[L] 227 Entering Passive Mode (xxx,xx,xxx,xx,5,170)
[R] PORT xxx,xx,xxx,xx,5,170
[R] 200 PORT command successful
[R] STOR my.pic.jpg
[R] 425 Could not open data connection to port 5001: Connection timed out
[R] Transfer Failed!

I am using Flashfxp 3.2.0 build 1080 , I tried fxping using my brothers pc and it worked fine so its not the ftp servers but my pc thats at fault, also b4 someone asks i did tick that fxp button in the compression mode Z thing and tried alternative site to site method and that does not work either.

So any ideas anyone ?

you will have to set you ftp server to allow certain ports for pasv connection, and you will also have to set them in the router, although i would also check the firewall, make sure its not bloking the connections, and make sure the windows firewall is off
