I can't transfer
Hi folks,
I have inherited flash fxp from our former sys admin. he had it setup with his pc as a portal, where all files had to be transferred to his pc, then transferred to servers etc. from there. When i try to connect to a server direct from my pc, it seems to connect, but shows a blank window.
When I do a quick connect it says:
[R] Connecting to [server name] -> DNS=[server name] IP=[IP] PORT=21
[R] Connected to [server name]
[R] 220 Microsoft FTP Service
[R] USER Administrator

[R] PASS (hidden)
[R] 230 User Administrator logged in.
[R] SYST

[R] LIST -al
[R] 125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting.
[R] 226 Transfer complete.

Can anyone see where it's going wrong?

Have you also tried connecting non-passive?

Have your tried to turn off the firewall while connecting with FlashFXP? If it works, you may be able to add it to it's "exclusions list" and enable the firewall again. I am allergic to all Symantec's products, so I have no idea how their firewalls filter the traffic.
If all else fails, you could also try to connect with a different FTP client just to make sure if the problem is with your connection or with FlashFXP's configuration.

build 1110 is no longer supported. upgrade to the latest available beta or stable release.

[sarcasm]
I really doubt an upgrade alone would solve his problem.
And while we are at it, let's ask how long the user "bertnurney" has been registered, okay? Oh, that'd be really exciting!!1
I can't sleep well tonight unless I know that.
And how old is his wife? What is his dog's name? And much more pointless questions that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the problem at hand.
Because we at the FlashFXP's forum can't fix any problems and thus we try to divert the customers's attention away, by asking pointless questions, so we might be able to make us look good in their eyes. ^^

tanel, if you'll read this forum, you'll see that upgrading alone can and does solve problems.
if you'll look at the changelog you'll see that between build 1110 and (as of this time)1125 multiple fixes and improvements have been implemented, including ones affecting port/pasv modes.
anybody who is volunteraly using not-current beta builds and ask for support without upgrading are doing a disservice to bigstar and themselves becuase it wastes bigstar's time in researching an already fixed problem and user's time waiting just to be told to upgrade.
and in the future, please keep your 'sarcasm' posts off this board.
