				list error

			i get this error
[R] 257 "/" is current directory.
[R] PORT 192,168,2,5,16,33
[R] 200 PORT Command successful.
[R] LIST -al
[R] 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls.
[R] 426 Data connection closed, transfer aborted.
[R] List Error

i only get it when i connect true my router..

i use flashfxp 3.17 build 1060 to connect to it..

i got a answar from someone and he said: you need to config flashfxp to use your external ip, and then forward some port range for data connections.

how do i do that?

build 1060 is extremely old and unsupported.
upgrade to latest available stable or beta builds.

you asked on irc, you ask on the forum, but did you read help file?

On a side note, that version is so old I'm pretty sure it doesn't support an "external ip" config. You'll need a newer version.

Well not like any of your replies actually helped the user in question, but I have seen this problem in previous posts in which you replied the same.

A better reply would have been.

There was a bug X caused by Y in version Z. Please make sure you upgrade.

I am running version 340 b 1145 I did not check the site to see if there was a newer version but I did use the built in version checker and it said that there was no version newer.

I am trying to connect to a Win2k ftp server. I am able to connect using other FTP programs. I have tried passive and non passive. I am also able to connect to linux servers.

The error "list error" is very vague.

As I see, both MxxCon and Bigstar's answers were correct. Both advise to upgrade due to the heavy outdated FlashFXP version that loureedd is using. If the problem continues, and IF the user is using the latest version THEN the real research of the possible bug starts.

By the way, we don't know if loureedd's problem has been solved or not, so please, don't play with your crystal ball . Maybe with the upgrade advice the problem disappeared. It's normal on forums that many users post for help and once the solution (or an advice) is given they don't say anything.

I am getting the same issue again. Upgrade fixed before, however there is no newer version out now. (340 1145) I can connect to the ftp server through other machines and get a listing. Flipped passive on and off, no effect. Via the router chose this computer to be in the DMZ just in case some filtering was occuring.

Ideas?Thanks
KM

I would rather not. All relevant info has already been posted. As stated earlier the issue is the same as I had posted on 07-09-2006.

if you do not want to cooperate with us and provide required info, there is only so much we can do to help you.
you need to configure flashfxp to use your internet ip instead of lan one.

You have the same information tech support does. The config already as a internet based address. I checked my hosts file and that was not it.
However thinking it was some sort of listing error (since that is what it said) I changed the site options "use stat -l to list direction" option. And now I can get a listing...

However I get this error when transferring files

based on the log you pasted, your flashfxp isn't configured to use your internet address.

your hosts file has nothing to do w/ this issue.

stat -l will work. as long as you can connect and login to a server, stat-l will work. it works becuase it's using control connection to send dirlist, unlike normal list command or file transfers that use data connection.
