Different port?

Hey guys.
By default my Flash fxp uses port 21. I would like to use a different port for my FTP needs. Which port should I use instead? I am not sure which ports are ok to use and which ports should not be used.

if you want to connect to your sites, you MUST use ports that your sites use.
it's up to server's administrator to decide what port that will be.

The only site I will be FTping to is my xbox and I can set both my xbox and flashfxp to a different port, I just dont know which alternate port would be acceptible to use.

any port between 1 and 65535 as long as it's not in use by some other service.

Sorry, but I am inexperienced in this area. How do I determine which ports are in use and which are available?

open dos window(cmd), type netstat. you should list of ips and ports. you can use any port not listed there.
