Default How do i connect??

HI!
I got a problem to connect my xbox. i made a quick connect filled everything but couldnt connect.
all the time connection faild.

should i use crosscable, or the original netwok cable? i am using a (modem) router.

i tried only cable from the pc to my xbox but nothing happend.
