FlashFXP not compatible with Microsoft OneCare
* FlashFXP v[3].[2], build [1080], [x]registered, [ ]unregistered, [ ]pirated
* OS [x] WinXP, [] Win2K, [ ] Win98, [ ] WinME, [ ] Other
* Running behind NAT/router [x] Yes & Model [Netgear], [ ] No, [ ] Not sure
* Running firewall [x] Yes, Name [Windows OneCare Beta 1], Ver. [ ], or [ ] No
* Running Antivirus [x] Yes, Name [Windows OneCare Beta 1] or [ ] No
* Network [] xDSL, [x] CABLE, [ ] Dail-Up, [ ] Other
Last week ago, i signed up for the Microsoft OneCare Beta and was accepted as a tester. After installing onecare, i was impressed, but disappointed to find that flashfxp couldnt connect to the internet in anyway anymore. I registered it as an allowed program and even allowed the ports ffxp was using, neither did the trick. when the onecare firewall is disabled, ffxp works great.
Next, i proceeded to print a support log with detailed firewall info... here is what i found:
The following request was blocked:
Full Application Path: C:\Program Files\FlashFXP\flashfxp.exe
Version:
Local Computer: 192.168.0.5:1157
Remote Computer: 67.XXX.XX.23:1001
Protocol Name: TCP
Protocol Number: 6
Traffic Direction: Outbound
BUT... I already allowed flashfxp in the firewall as proven below:
Application:
Full Path: C:\Program Files\FlashFXP\flashfxp.exe
Application Name: FlashFXP
Product Name: FlashFXP
Version: 3.2.0.1080
Company: IniCom Networks, Inc.
Publisher:
Access Scope: Allowed (Internet)
Manually added to the policy
NOTICE... the version number stated in the above log is 3.2.0.1080, the version number in the blocked log is blank. i believe this has something to do with flashfxp being incompatible with onecare.
If anybody has any ideas on how to fix this or is experiencing a similiar problem or has this working, please reply or drop me an email. thanks.

It seems to me that this has more to do with the beta stage OneCare is in, then with FlashFXP. Not that this will help you, but i think you should ask Microsoft for support (blocking a program that's in the allow list) instead of here.

Windows Live One Care
Just to tag on, I am having the same problem with trying to transfer files to an ftp site. And sorry, I'm a new guy to these postings so I will try to give my PC info. I hope it's adequate.
However, the file transfers to the ftp site but after a few minutes and when the transfer hits around 99%, the process fails.
Cheers,
Mikey53

Ive had the one care and vista together since microsoft sent me both.
You have to set flashfxp up inside the one care program.....
Mine works like a champ. No issues here

build 1080 is unsupported, so don't even bother with it.
upgrade to the latest version.
