stumbled across this forum while trying to find some help with a problem i was having... problem solved, so i was feeling in a pretty good mood and decided to take a crack at this banner design thing.

Looks great. Might want to add "ftp" somewhere though, so all the p2p kids don't think it's a new p2p software...
Maybe "ftp and fxp made easy"?

ok, changed it a bit. i liked the green colour scheme, but thought it was a little TOO green, so i dulled it a bit, and changed the slogan

I like the first one, i think the color change and the black sqwiggle thing make it crouded. A banner should be clear, simple & to the point. It's almost never a good idea to add un-needed clutter or info. to a banner.

I know for my own creations, as well as when i see banners online, i am much more likely to pay attention to something that is simple, clear and to the point (like the first attempt). Rather than something that looks crouded or overdone.

As for the tag line change, that looks good. As long as its not made unnecesarily longer or bigger.

okie, well im trying a new banner, its a big image (i quite liked it, so im rendering it big, so i can use it as a wallpaper as well..), and so far its taken 24 hours and its about half way through rendering... dunno if it'll look any good when its done, but ill see if its banner worthy when its done. thanks for the comments.
