I'm using the latest version of nxTools and i get a couple errors I was hoping to clear up (if possible)..

in my systemerror.log I keep getting this message.

06-30-2006 16:33:08 "..\scripts\nxTools\nxClose.tcl" terminated abnormally
--------------------------- ErrorInfo ----------------------------
can't read "user": no such variable
while executing
"ExcemptCheck $user $group $flags"
("LOGIN" arm line 2)
invoked from within
"switch -- $event {
CLOSE {
iputs ".-\[Close\]-----------------------------------------------------------------."
if {[..."
(procedure "::nxTools::Close::Main" line 7)
invoked from within
"::nxTool

The error below was fixed with help over the IRC.

edit init.itcl

and in nxerror.log I get the following.

06-27-2006 21:29:46 - LoadScript : couldn't read file "C:/ftpsite/ioFTPD/scripts/nxAutoNuke/nxAutoNuke.cfg": no such file or directory

I didnt even download nxAutoNuke yet. Where is it calling for this autonuke?

Any help will be greatly appreicated. thanks in advance!

neoXed asked me to try ioftpd.5-8-5 to see if my error went away. I can't even get ioftpd5-8-5 to work anymore on my setup. it crashes instantly when users try logging in.

NeoXed is there anything else we can do about this error? I'm not sure if it's causing other problems or not and would like to get the error addressed.

thanks,

yup..
what zipscript are u using..?

Try to search for bad .ioFTPD files..
Cause the newer versions of io dont chash on big .ioFTPD files.
But the old do.

Well Ko0ky, as we talked about this already on IRC. I have the same issue when using nxTools and ioSFV together. It really is a pitty as these two scripts seem the best around =(

I hope this issue can be solved

it chrashes because ioSFV makes rather big .ioFTPD files..

ioSFV works best with 5.8.6+

Versions before that chrash on .ioFTPD files bigger than 4kb.
So again, search your hdds for .ioftpd files..
delete those over 4kb.. and voila your site will start without chrash.

and you can use them together.
Just use neoxed's remove-bad.ioftpd-files tool
nxiofilecheck
