hi, im running an older version of ioB i know v2.0 not ioB2 but i never used to have this problem, it just appeared

every now and again when starting the bot it crashes giving this error:

ioBanana 9 by Mouton & Harm attempting to connect to FTP...
*Last context: tclhash.c/688 []
*Please REPORT this BUG!
*Check doc/BUG-REPORT on how to do so
*Wrote DEBUG
*SEGMENT VIOLATION -- CRASHING

any ideas??

it strange that its not just all the time, only sometimes

This has been reported quite a few time but I can't remember if we found something specific that caused this. If you can't upgrade ioBanana, can you try B0unty's windrop builds ?

A way to fix this is to add a delay before the tcl tries to connect to FTP server.
Find where it calls the tcl proc that connects the first time, and add sleep or something before it.
TCL manuals etc. are your friend.

Just so it is known i found out the reason too this error...

its a virus called Win32.Parite that attacks exe files and bounces from one too another infecting everything. once you remove this virus all is well and original bots just worked.

here is a very good tool (and its free :) ) i used it, it helped alot:

good luck :D
