Cant save queue

Cant save queue
I've upgraded from v4 portable by installing it in the same directory
I've have 2 directories with FFXP in it
c:/ProgramFiles/FFXP/group1install/flashfxp.exe &
c:/ProgramFiles/FFXP/group2install/flashfxp.exe
neither can save a queue ...
sometimes only 1 line of the queue is saved
usually it's just empty

running 5.0 portable build 3791 on Windows XPpro

Re: Cant save queue

You can't place the portable edition of FlashFXP under C:\program files\ and expect it to work correctly because it wont.

You need to run the portable edition from a folder that has full read & write access, it will not work from C:\program files\ due to limitations and restrictions that Microsoft has imposed on this special location.

Re: Cant save queue

trying again .....
downloaded portable version 5 b3788
installed to c:\Prog\FlashFXP5
registered it
imported no settings from version4 or the previously installed version 5
updated to v5 b3791
logged into "the Usenet Oracle(Funny)"
queued a dozen files
downloaded a few
tried to save the queue to test1.fqf
it made the file .. but it was empty 0bytes
i closed ffxp & it saved the "non-empty queue" into a file
re-started flashfxp grabbed the "non-empty queue" file and finished my downloading
"non-empty queue" file had been saved in the C:\Prog\FlashFXP5\ directory

i don't believe it's a permission problem
I'm as logged in as an administrator with full privileges.
version 4 portable has been working and is still working fine in the directory c:\Program files\

Re: Cant save queue

I found the problem (again).

The filter index is either 0 or 1 base depending on the windows version.
Pre-Windows 7 the filter index is 0 based, Windows 7 and newer the filter index is 1 based.
On the Save queue dialog the file type filter has two filters "Save Queue" or "Save Selection"..

Pre-Windows 7 is defaulting to "Save Selection" rather than "Save Queue".

I fixed this issue once before but some where along the line I it was re-introduced.

Thanks for the heads up. I will include a fix in the next release.
Until then just change the file type filter to "Save Queue"
