Editing file whith no permission

I've a file which is created with a php script.
As a ftp user I cannot modify the file or the permissions.

Now edit this file on the ftp-server (ctrl+e).
change something and save it.
You will get this log messages:
Quote:
[R] STOR /path/filename.txt
[R] 550 /path/filename.txt: Permission denied
That's all right.

Bug:
But now you are no longer able to refresh, view or edit a file.
You can only go up directories and and open other folders but every folder which is in the upload-error-path cannot be opened again till the FlashFXP icon is hovered green in the task bar (I use Windows 7 64bit)

Re: Editing file whith no permission

Hi,

the problem still exists in RC3.
For nearly one minute I can only go up in the directories

Re: Editing file whith no permission

Can you please include a copy of the ftp session status.

I have tested many times using RC3 and I am unable to reproduce this issue.

Hey,

here is the session log and 3 screenshots.

Re: Editing file whith no permission

Hey,

Here is my session log again:

1. Remote edit 3_info
[11:49:47] [R] RETR 3_info
[11:49:47] [R] 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for 3_info (346 bytes)
[11:49:47] [R] 226 Transfer complete
[11:49:47] Transferred: 3_info 346 bytes in 0,00 seconds (337,9 KB/s)
2. Attempt to save edited file.
[11:49:52] [R] PASV
[11:49:52] [R] 227 Entering Passive Mode (10,0,0,1,195,109).
[11:49:52] [R] Opening data connection IP: 10.0.0.1 PORT: 50029
[11:49:52] [R] STOR /uploads/subdir/work/3_info
[11:49:52] [R] 550 /uploads/subdir/work/3_info: Permission denied
The mouse cursor is now an hourglass (win7 = circle)
3. Navigate to the parent folder.
4. Try to go again into your subdirectory which contains your file by double clicking on the folder
There will be no log messages, because your interaction doesn't work

After exactly one minute I get the following log message:
[11:50:52] [R] Transfer Failed!
And now everything works fine...

Re: Editing file whith no permission

I did some testing with several another FTP server brands and I finally found one where I was able to reproduce this issue.

Thanks for being persistent on this issue.

I have addressed this issue for build 1501 which will be released in the next day or two.
