Stuck during Connection
Hello!
I'm using the current version of FlashFXP and my problem is that it stucks during the Connection to a Serv-U FTP v. 7.3
It stucks on the CLNT Line.. what does that mean? The password includes a DOT. The "xxx" is only made by me to hide the name of the account.
I hope somebody knows the issue - help appreciated. Connecting with other programs runs without any problems.

Re: Stuck during Connection
From the status log it would appear that FlashFXP is waiting for a server reply to the CLNT command. Sending this command is non-trivial and the server just needs to return OK.
Does the connection hang on the same command every time?
My experience with Serv-U 7.x releases were that it was quite buggy, I don't know if the same is true for the newer 8.x releases, this might be a bug related to that specific version of Serv-U.

Re: Stuck during Connection
Yes everytime and after 120 sec delay the connection fails/ try to reconnect.
Is it possible to jump over the client-request?
I don't think that the hoster is going to update his software, damn him.

Re: Stuck during Connection
You can check the option "Site does not support FEAT command" in the site manager / options tab and it should bypass that command. This is a roundabout way of bypassing the command but I'm afraid its the only way.

Re: Stuck during Connection
Thank you very much for the fast reply. I don't know why but this problem happen to me when the hoster changed something on his servers.
Now it works for me again. I have only one question - what does that mean for me "doesn't support FEAT command"? Do I have any restrictions when it is marked?
Anyway it's great that I can set this mark for this account separately.
greetings

Re: Stuck during Connection
By disabling FEAT you turn off the extended ftp features that are supported by the server.

Re: Stuck during Connection
Oh, thats good to know! Thanks anyways, I'm just using the basic functions of the server (upload/download files) so it seems to work for me fine.
I will close this thread because my problem is solved.
greetings
