Windows OS version/build?
Remote server type? (FTP, FTP/SSL, SFTP over SSH)
Name and version of server software? (i.e. ProFTPD, OpenSSH, etc)
Is compression enabled? Easiest way to check is if the compression icon is active on the status bar during transfer, if so try transferring with compression disabled. Depending on the type of server and connection there are several different compression options. (FTP MODE Z compression , FTP/SSL Compression, SSH Compression)
Also sometimes a copy of the session status log can be helpful.
