Flashfxp 5 is breaking scandinavian letters æøå.

hello!
After updating, my files are being stripped of any æøå letters.
Ive tried changing encoding on the sites as u describe via site manager, but this does nothing on latin1 and utf-8.

Please help me out!
im using flashfxp 5.0.0, and would hate having to go to filezilla

What version of FlashFXP did you upgrade from?

And now what specific build of version 5 are you using?

Please post a copy of the session log as this might be helpful in troubleshooting the problem.

Right-click on the session status window and select Copy to clipboard and then paste the content in your reply.

I don't have any problems with those characters, transfering between windows ftp server, or synology ftp server.

I suspect that his problem might be very specific to a certain situation; but without more information it's impossible to say more.

I've just made switch with all my flashfxp installs to version 5:
Debian {Jessie,Wheezy}
Windows [7{x86,x64}],[8.1 x86]
And realized that Flashfxp 5 has problems with a few UTF-8 characters in some cases:

I don't think your issue is the same as the person who started this thread.

I was able to reproduce this issue and it appears that the FlashFXP translated text is being double UTF-8 encoded when FlashFXP fails to detect that the server supports UTF-8. It uses predefined text to mimic server replies and there is a special case where server replies are automatically UTF-8 encoded causing a double UTF-8 encoding.

This is a display issue specific to the session status window and has no impact on the functionality of FlashFXP.

I can send you a test build if you'd like to test my fix for this.
