"Filetype" col in remote browser

Why there is no column "filetype" in remote browser?

If you want to sort by file extension: press F6, Interface, File Browser, Default Remote List Sort, File Extension.

A file type column doesn't exist in the remote browser, this can however be added if there's enough demand for it.

Most people I've talked to only want this feature to be able to sort by file extension and this can be done via the right-click menu Sort By > File Extension

The method suggested by MxxCon is for setting the default sort order used on startup.
