I haven't had any issues for over 5 builds including of course beta builds.
I would be interested in knowing your FFXP about information so I can compare it with mine which is
Code:
Windows:
Windows 7 x64 (6.1.7600)
FlashFXP version:
4.0.0 (build 1535)
Installation type:
All User - Common data folder
Program folder [Access: Read / Write]
C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashFXP 4\
Data folder [Access: Read / Write]
C:\ProgramData\FlashFXP\4\
Temp folder [Access: Read / Write]
C:\Users\X3\AppData\Local\Temp\
any variations on custom paths and even OS bugs can be causing this my main OS is fully up to date, I have also tested 32/64bit xp pro/vista ultimate/w7 ultimate with no issues for over 5 builds.
It was my suggestion to the developer to make the updates with minimum to no user interaction, meaning the benefits of having a streamlined live update system that works without minimal user interaction is highly desirable, to professional and advanced environments.
FYI UAC should be disabled (UAC is for idiots who cant use pc's)or FlasfFXP be running with Full Admin privileges.
UAC is mainly the cause for any failure atm.
My advice is disable UAC as it is more annoying and serves 0 purpose for anyone who can use a pc unsupervised.
If accounts are required with supervision the these accounts should be separate. ANd locked down upgrades to any software should be deployed by responsible and knowledgeable user.
