The release you're referring to 4.2.4 (1790) is a beta release and we're currently evaluating a couple potential issues with this update.
It was reported by a beta tester that this release is delaying 5 seconds for each failed SIZE command. I suspect that this delay might be causing the increased duration for the upload. The only way to know would be to examine the session status log for the session in question, by default sessions are not logged to disk, this would require you to reproduce the situation with build 1790 to determine if that is the cause.
We are working on a couple additional issues that were brought to our attention in this update and we are planning on releasing an update as soon as they're resolved.
