FlashFXP won't shutdown when Windows is locked

Hi,

I noticed that FlashFXP won't shutdown the computer, when the system is locked (CTRL+ALT+DEL -> Lock this computer or Windows key + L).

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Start FlashFXP
  2. Start a transfer
  3. Activate Session -> On transfer complete -> Turn off computer
  4. Lock the system
  5. Wait
You will notice, that FXP will close itself, but won't shutdown the computer.

If you don't lock the computer, the feature is working as expected.

Tested with FXP v4.1.9 #1711 on Windows 7 x64 SP1.

Re: FlashFXP won't shutdown when Windows is locked

Based on some information I came across this is the standard behavior for a windows shutdown unless the shutdown is explicitly forced.

FlashFXP does not attempt to force the shutdown and I believe that is why it fails.

You might check your windows event log and see exactly what it reported.

Re: FlashFXP won't shutdown when Windows is locked

Hi,

I cleared the event log (system and application), tested it again, and the event log was still empty. So nothing was logged.

P.s.: I tested FileZilla... FileZilla is able to shutdown the computer after transfer as expected when the computer is locked...

This will be logged (by USER32, ID 1074):
Code:
The process C:\Windows\system32\winlogon.exe (pc-w429) has initiated the power off of computer pc-w429 on behalf of user pc-w429\Tester for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found
 Reason Code: 0x500ff
 Shutdown Type: power off
