special characters - download not working (ö, ä...)

Hi,

using FlashFXP 5.1.0 3861
Windows 10

I cannot download files with umlauts from strato.

Log:

But the file exists on the server. On my computer the file is created but with 0 bytes size.

Reproduceable:
1. Connect to ftp server with file like "1990_öchsle.tiff"
2. dowload the file with flashfxp.
3. file cannot be downloaded see error above

Can you please include a complete copy of the ftp session log, that includes the login portion (you can mask out the IP and username during login) as well as the list command.

Most likely the FTP server character encoding is incorrectly detected.
Open the Site Manager > Select the site profile > Options tab > Character Encoding and you can select a specific encoding.

After making the change you'll need to re-connect and re-queue the files for transfer, using an existing queue will not apply the character encoding changes.

I would recommend trying UTF-8 and if that doesn't work then System Locale
