Default help! unhide directorys?

hello ppl,
i'm new to ioftpd and i recently installed it, i read through all the documentation in the manual but i bumped into a problem.

I configured my vfs, that works.
but when i enter 1 of the dirs i created with vfs the directory is empty, it's supposed to be filled with files, this is with a normal user.

when i log in with an admin account everything shows up as it should be.

has this something to do with chattr?

(i allready gave all the directorys a chmod 755)

please help me....and be soft on my noobie knowledge

tnx in advance.

edit.

i tinkered around a bit....if i remove the ioftpd file in the directories it all shows up again.
but
as soon as i doe a chmod 666 (so the users can upload) ALL the dirs disappear...and i can;t get them back

ahh..yes, that solved it.

i thought that giving 666 would restrict the users...by not giving them execute rights.

tnx for the help mouton

On directories, the x flag is used to allow or disallow listing the content of the directories.
On files, the x flag is not used.
