Disappearing users

Hello,

For some time now users seem to disappear from my server, apparently totally randomly. No trace in logs, nothing.

Does anyone has any idea what could be causing this?

AFAIK, most (all?) scripts that delete users should be leaving some trace in the logs... has anyone seen one which doesn't do that?

I too have encoutered this, although not totally random, only users with usernames starting with w and higher in the alphabet seem to be effected. No trial scripts installed and no other scripts that should delete users. Also nothing to be found in any logs.
