Default ioFTPD crashes after start

hi,

if i try to start ioFTPD, its crashing immediately ..

crash log shows this:

Unhandled exception 3221225725 at address 0x1004fb43 (0x00000000)
0x00000001 0x00032f78


Running ioFTPD 5.8.4u on Windows2003 ..
just unzipped ioftpd, didn't touch anything.. no scripts

edit: older versions are working fine..

please help :/

even if i do a doubleclick.. its not starting..
file is called ioFTPD.exe

It is NOT ioftpd.exe crashing. It is due to a script that fails. Please check if you have the correct sitekill.ee version if you use it. A common problem I saw was that a crash occured due to soem people not being able to read and using an old sitekill version (for ioFTPD 4.x and not the sitekill for ioFTPD 5.x). So if that still isnt it then start drwtsn32.exe set it's options and start ioftpd, then you should see quickly from drwatson where the error occured (in some script very very likely).

it's a clean installation.. without any modifications

Default hidden ".ioFTPD" files

Shutdown ioFTPD. Search for hidden .ioFTPD* file and delete them all. Load ioFTPD again.

Lets hope is that easy !
