Default Wii.. more news :)

I just ordered dual xeon system for myself: 2x 2.66Ghz Xeon with hyperthreading, totaling 4logical cpus. Those who claim that buying intel is waste of money are quite wrong, dual opteron setup would have cost nearly twice as much (~500e for one cpu suitable for dual use.. )... I just can't wait to see what kind of figures I'm able to pull with that rig, combined with the new core... 200mb/sec? 300mb/sec? more? who knows... (soon everyone)

I'll use ordinary non-raided ide drives.. as I don't dare to remove my scsi array from linux (I keep all my sources etc. on it) However, I'll try to plug so much memory in that I can get it to cache even the largest files I have... so hd won't be the limiting factor (i'll be experimenting adaptive buffers, etc. as well.. they are something that you propably don't want to use on ordinary server - as they might grow to several gigs =D)

Had to order new psu as well - seems like xeon isn't compatible with ordinary atx psus (ugh.. I guess, intel doesn't want people to use low quality parts with their server products)

Anyways, I'm supposed to get all the neccessary parts later today..
