Default What happens if one of the services die, using IOFTPD-Service?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone was having the same problem as I am. I have IO and sitebot running fine. But what happens when sitebot crashes or IO crashes. It does not get restarted. So was wondering if there was a way of fixing this? Basically, my sitebot dies once in a while. And IO is still up and running fine. But I can not just restart eggdrop.exe, cuz it needs to be started in the same process as IO so the scripts will run. So I would have to restart the whole ioftpdservice, instead of just the eggdrop service. That would cause IO to be restarted as well as the eggdrop. .....how would I go about just restarting the eggdrop without having to restart IO?

Thanks.

Use better service installer like firedeamon.
Works best 4 me.
Bot crashes , 2sec later joins back in chan.
Io crash, restart ~1sec later.

Sorry forgot to write down which service wrapper I was using:

IOFTPD-Service .02

I was using FireDaemon in the beginning. But after I upgraded to ioFTPD 5.3.9r, the sitebot could not connect properly to ioFTPD, and would not respond to !leechers and other irc chan commands properly. I was told to start the sitebot in the same service as ioFTPD. But have not figured out how to do that yet running FireDaemon.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

hmm same prob here it seems the ioService is just the same like you do it with srvany.exe. just if the ioservice itself is killed it starts new and not when the childservices are killed.

perhaps this could be managed in one of the later versions ?!

Watchdog-O-Matic, KeepAlive, Fundi's Monitor... there's probably others that can monitor applications and restart them if they crash.
